New York Mills, population 1,230, is located in the northeastern part of Otter Tail County, the heart of Minnesota Lake Country.  Within minutes of a host of excellent fishing and recreation lakes, you can enjoy all four seasons this area has to offer.  New York Mills has the finest facilities to be found in a community of its size, including six excellent parks (one with camping and RV hookups), a heated outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, a ice skating rink, an outstanding public library, a full-service medical clinic, a first-rate school system and a comfortable, modern nursing home facility.  The New York Mills School District is proud to house the James W. New York Mills is also the home of Lund Boats.
