Job Opening: Public Works Maintenance Worker II

The City of New York Mills is seeking applicants for the position of Public Works Maintenance Worker II.  Duties include work for streets; parks; utilities including water, wastewater, natural gas, pool departments and building and grounds maintenance.

Minimum qualifications include two years vocational training, and one year of experience related to public works/utilities or construction trade; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Licensures required include special engineer boiler license, class C water license, and Class D wastewater license, or the ability to obtain these within one to three years.  Must hold or be able to obtain the Natural Gas Operator Qualifications per PHMSA 192, Subpart N.  Residency must be maintained within a 20-minute response time for mandatory on call requirement.
